“Voskehat” teaching-experimental farm is located in Voskehat village, Armavir marz.
Since 1934 Armenian Agricultural Institute has established educational farms in different parts of Armenia – in Kanaker, Nor Aresh, Ararat, nearby Yerevan, Lusakert, where industrial practices are conducted.
The farm was headed by N. Maghaqyan, R. Barseghyan, V. Atoyan, D. Atoyan, D. Avetisyan, E. Khachikyan, V. Martirosyan. In 1962 “Voskehat” farm in Ejmiatsin was given to Armenian Agricultural Institute.
“Voskehat” teaching-experimental farm was headed by G. Shahazizyan, E. Hakobyan, G. Mamikonyan, K. Atoyan, S. Pandunts, S. Gharibyan. The “Voskehat” teaching-experimental farm has got 62,7 ha land area, out of which 18 ha are vineyards, 2,8 ha are leguminous orchards, 11 ha are alfalfa perennial grasslands and the rest 27,7 are non-arable lands. The students take part in different agricultural activities in “Voskehat” teaching-experimental farm, starting from pruning to harvesting activities.
