History and Objectives

The Laboratory was founded in 2005 by professor Yu.Marmaryan. The main goal is to develop corresponding suggestions, as well as researches concerning agricultural animals’ selection, feeding and genetics. Scientists of the laboratory implement scientific industrial, technological, biochemical and genetic researches for different branches of animal husbandry.

The artificial insemination process for sheep will be established. Animals that have been created through hybridization are normally 2-3 times more productive. Different genotypes of endemic resources of the RA are being studied: blood system and groups, proteins and DNA variations and etc. Study of polymorph proteins are still in process.

Complex works are devoted to create a new sorts of goat in Armenia. The results of scientific researches carried out in 2007-2015 are published in 63 scientific works, in international and republican journals; some of them have been reported in conferences. Young specialists are engaged in researches and the results of researches thesis and doctorate dissertations are presented and defended.
