International week at ANAU

This week ANAU implemented its next mobility within the framework of the Erasmus + KA1 program.This time our guest was Peter Bayor, an associate professor at the Faculty of International and Political studies at Jagiellonian University, who had come to the university for teaching.

Our guest started his visit by visiting ANAU’s International Relations Department, where he met with the Head  of the International Relations Department G. Hambardzumyan and Senior Expert Z.Poghosyan.They talked about the university’s divisions, educational system, and innovations, as well as ANAU’s potential for foreign cooperation and existing programs, also about  the guests’ work schedules.As this was  Piotr Bayor’s second visit to the University, the conversation focused on the University’s efforts and achievements in improving human and logistical resources.

The guest also visited the agro-technological incubator, where the coordinator of the agro-technological incubator, international relations officer Susanna Hayrapetyan, presented the activity of the agro-technological incubator, the implemented programs, its importance in the development prospects of the university and Armenia.Furthermore, he also went on a tour of ANAU’s numerous subdivisions, and learned about the activities of various infrastructures, including the scientific library, food safety laboratory, various chairs, the newly opened wine, bread and chocolate laboratory, brewery, so on. The tour’s goal was to demonstrate the conditions in which our students learn, as well as what our university has to offer incoming students and the teaching staff.

The topic of the Polish lecturer was the economic situation in Poland after 1989, during the economic and social transformation. There were also discussions about the aspects of Poland’s economic migrations to the western countries, after joining the European Union in 2004.

At the conclusion of the activity, the guest stated his delight and willingness to work with ANAU on a long-term basis, as well as perform cooperative research. He stated that this was his fourth visit to Armenia, and that each time he visited, Armenia and Armenian National Agrarian University appeared to be more appealing.
