Discussed issues regarding air pollution and transboundary impact

There were discussed issues over air pollution and transboundary impact during the workshop jointly organized by the Ministry of Environment and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (ECE). Representatives and experts of state, scientific and international organizations partook in the event.
Deputy Minister of Environment Irina Ghaplanyan submitted the works accomplished in Armenia towards sustainable environmental management and reduction of air pollution. UN Resident Coordinator Shombi Sharp reflected on the international cooperation and ongoing actions addressed to solving air pollution issues. Armenia’s National Action Plan of the three protocols of the Convention on “Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution” were introduced to the event attendees.
Also, the participants of the roundtable discussed issues apropos of the national policy of air quality management and enhancement of the monitoring system.
