On March 23-24 the kick-off meeting of the “Strengthening Soft Skills as Employment Key Tool: Transferring V4 Experience” project took place at ANAU.
The first day was mainly devoted to the general introduction of the Universities, the mechanisms of teaching soft skills in the partner Universities and capacity building implemented in that direction.
With his opening speech the head of the International Relations Department G. Hambardzumyan expressed his gratitude to the guests, the delegates of the three European Universities who arrived in Armenia facing some hardships. ANAU rector Vardan Urutyan greeted the participants emphasizing the importance of developing the soft skills in the sphere of educational activities which are highly appreciated by the employers nowadays.
The following presentations took place in the first part of the meeting on March 23.
1․ IRD specialist Susanna Hayrapetyan presented the overview about ANAU where she introduced ANAU structure, educational and scientific directions, the development vision, international cooperation.
2․ The project manager of the department of Agricultural management and leadership science of Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences Rudnak Ildigo presented the opportunities of the educational projects, in particular the International educational projects, scientific-research projects in their University.
3․ Project expert Alyona Charvashova from University of South Bohemia presented the structure of their University, the educational-scientific directions, international cooperation, as well as the actions directed to the development of the soft skills.
4․ The head of the Center of International projects division of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, local project coordinator Norbert Floris presented the structure of their University, the educational-scientific directions, ongoing international projects and the changes made within their framework as well as the actions directed to the development of the soft skills.
5․ The results of the recent survey conducted by the ANAU Career Development and lifelong learning division were presented by the head of the division Liana Vardanyan. The survey conducted among the ANAU students and lecturers recorded interested and instructive results which the career division will take into account in the further process of rooting soft skills among the students.
