The selection of topics for diploma paper\u2019s and master&#8217;s theses are chosen according to their applicability in production processes. Leading researchers in the field of agriculture are involved in managing the research works of the master&#8217;s students. Some students of bachelor\u2019s and master\u2019s programs take part in international educational, scientific and practical projects. Lecturers and researchers actively collaborate with international projects.<\/p>\n<p>Practical lessons are held in the leading agricultural organizations (Scientific center of vegetable and industrial crops, Spayka, Orvako, EcoGlobe, Sevan national park, Green crafts, Agrotrend, Syunik Food, etc), private farms, RA Ministry of Economics, Food safety inspectorates and in educational-experimental farms.<\/p>\n<p>A number of young lecturers are involved in the frameworks of international programs and undergo training at the leading universities abroad.<\/p>\n<p>The teaching staff of the faculty, according to their professional characteristics, participates in the consulting processes aimed to the production.<\/p>\n<p>The faculty cooperates with the United Nations International Office of Food and Agriculture, the Armenian Office for the Conservation of Agrobiodiversity of the Caucasus Region, the Serum Institute of Bioeconomy in Norway, the Arctic University of Tromso, the Italian Dale Manche Polytechnic University (Ancora), a number of Russian agricultural universities and scientific centers.<\/p>\n<p>The goal of the &#8220;Organic Agriculture&#8221; master&#8217;s program is to prepare a specialist in the field of organic agriculture, armed with relevant scientific and practical knowledge.<\/p>\n<p>Graduates of the program will have knowledge about land fertility, organic certification, local and international organic standards, sustainable management of natural resources, production and processing of organic crops and fruits, and organic livestock husbandry.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s a high demand for the specialists prepared with five educational programs of three specialties issued at the faculty. Most of the graduates work by their professions. el_class=&#8221;justify&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Faculty of Agronomy, one of the fundamental faculties of Armenian National Agrarian University, was established in 1921 at Yerevan State University. The first dean had important contribution in the establishment of the faculty.<br \/>\nIn 1930 on the basis of the faculty of Agriculture of YSU Armenian Agricultural Institute was established. The institute had 3 faculties \u2013 faculty of agriculture, crop cultivation and veterinary medicine. The first one was renamed into the faculty of agronomy, the second one \u2013 horticulture. A range of structural changes was made at the faculty of agronomy. In 1988 faculty of agronomy and faculty of horticulture were unified and in result, the faculty was renamed into the faculty of Agronomy. In academic year 1994-1995 at newly formed Armenian Agricultural Academy, Agrarian Faculty was created. In 2002-2003 academic year faculty of agronomy was reformed.<br \/>\nThe activity of the faculty corresponds to modern teaching method of the Bologna process. Chairs and general laboratories of the faculty are equipped with necessary laboratory equipments, herbariums and computers, which promote the development of scientific-experimental skills among the students. The faculty carries out scientific and academic-methodological works. More than 200 suggestions with fundamental and applicable significance, including over 40 new sorts of agricultural crops were applied in production in result of scientific researches. More than 170 textbooks and academic manuals and over 6800 scientific articles were published, some of them have copyright licenses.<br \/>\nThere is professional council of 011 &#8220;Agronomy&#8221; awarding degrees of candidate of agricultural sciences and doctoral degrees at the Faculty of Agronomy, where the applicants defend their dissertations on the following specializations:<br \/>\n<i class=\"fa fa-check-square\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i> \u0536.01.01 \u2013 General agriculture, soli since, hydro-melioration and agrochemistry,<br \/>\n<i class=\"fa fa-check-square\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i> \u0536.01.02 \u2013 Plant cultivation, viticulture, horticulture and plant protection.<br \/>\nMore than 200 students defended their dissertations, received their degrees in agriculture during the last 50 years.<br \/>\nFaculty of Agronomy collaborates with FAO, Regional Environmental Centre for the Caucasus, Biochemistry Institute of Norway, Polytechnic University of
