Anatomical Scientific Museum
In 1928-1930 in Yerevan Zoo Veterinary Institute professor S.M.Amirensky initiated works in the direction of establishing anatomical museum by the participation of docents M.Yu.Staritskiy and L.A.Avagyan.
In 1930 already operating museum was headed by Yu.P.Izmailov.
During the years of 1946-1964 K.K.Dal headed the museum, who was a master in his work: had a wide knowledge in the field of museum exponents and scientific-research works.
In 1965-1980 R.S.Hovhannisyan was appointed head of museum with concurrent. He, not only restored the exponents of museum, but made new skeletons. During 1980-1992 lecturers R.S.Mkhitaryan, S.Kh.Kobelyan, P.I.Harutyunyan headed maintaining works of the museum.
In 1994-2014 head of museum was doctor of sciences N.Kh. Grigoryan. He made restorations of several museum exponents, as well as added some new ones.
Since 2014 heads of museum are S.Kh.Kobelyan and G.A.Papoyan.
During the 87 years a rich collection of exponents has been collected by the efforts of scientists. Today, anatomical museum by the amount of its exponents is in the list of leading museums among post soviet countries' museums.
Museum is opened for ANAU students, as well as for residents from Yerevan and regions, for school pupils and foreign guests.
