Questions concerning different plants’ growing, harvest mechanization, agriculture machinery exploitation and technical service methods’ improvement, agriculture electrification, research of exploitation capabilities of automobiles, effectiveness growth of transportation means, reliability growth issues. So far, various text books, manuals, as well as monographs, recommendations, scientific articles and educational methodical works have been published.
Faculty of Hydromelioration was formed in 1951 on the bases of "Hydromelioration" specialty of Armenian Agricultural Institute.Later on the faculty has been reformed for several times, and since 2005-2006 academic yearit was decided to form separated specialtes taking into consideration the importance of botyh specialties. In 2009-2013 the faculty was headed by P.S.Efendyan, sinve 2013 doctor-professor G.M.Yeghiazaryan has been working as the faculty dean.
The faculty has carried out cooperation programs with a number of organizations such as: State Committee of Water Economy, State Committee of the Real Estate Cadastre, Centre of Geodesy and Cartography, Land Management Monitoring, Media Centre, Media, Cadastre territorial divisions, regional, local authorities and Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia.

Since the day of foundation more than 8000 students have graduated this faculty, who afterwards, work in different spheres in agriculture production. Faculty chairs and laboratories, methodical centers and workshops are equipped with all necessary machines and technical equipments. There is a special computer room, where students study "Computer Graphics". Students of "agriculture machinery" specialization receive license for tractor’s – machinist.
Special attention is paid to students’ practical skills. Internships are usually organized in leading farms and enterprises. The most part of lecturers are engaged in scientific works.
