Administrative Staff Training in the University of Minho, Braga, Portugal
Within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA1 International Credit Mobility - Umove (ME) project - Susanna Mezhlumyan, Deputy Head of the Agribusiness Department of ANAU, participated in UMINHO-International Week organized by the University of Minho in Braga, Portugal during May 7-11, 2018.
The UMINHO International week had a focus on
international cooperation and provided the participants an intercultural learning experience. The University of Minho International Relations Office hosted 37 participants from around 30 countries from all over the world.
Through participation in various sessions and workshops, as well as through networking events and cultural visits we got an opportunity to strengthen our ties with the University of Minho, build up new contacts for our professional network and acquire partners and friends from all over the world, share our experiences, and learn best practices. We were introduced to the University facilities and infrastructures, as well as to the Departments of Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, and Economics and Management. Since I am involved in the activities of academics in my home institution I also learnt about the activities of the academic services in UMINHO, in addition to attending seminars organized by the International Office. The participants gave presentations about their home institutions and shared their professional knowledge. This was a good opportunity to present ANAU and the Department of Agribusiness. The program also included cultural visits, which gave us an opportunity to explore and enjoy Portuguese culture. This training opportunity was valuable in terms of establishing new connections with partner universities and strengthening ties with the University of Minho International Office to foster further collaboration. I improved my intercultural communication skills as well and got familiar with the learning environment our Erasmus exchange students lived in. OBRIGADA.
